New Ticket Based Support System

New Data Available

We have added about 50 new stocks/etf’s to the data file that were requested by you, the users. A few of the files requested, especially the ETF’s, we didn’t have data for. The total number of files is now about 163.

We also appreciated all of the comments about how much the program has helped your understanding of options and trades. It certainly does sink in better when you get to see it play out. We are also gathering the list of things you’d like to see added.

Thanks for your support. Please download the data here. Save it to disk, and then unzip it to your hard drive “c:/program files/spreadtrainer/data”. You can overwrite the current files that are there. Let me know if you have any questions

“How to use SpreadTrainer” Videos

It is a much requested feature that we will be adding soon. There are also a few very advanced features that would be hard to describe that we’ll show how to do in a video.

Shortcut Keys

The most clicked buttons are “Forward” and “Backward” and the most used tabs are “Charts” and “Options Chain”. We assigned shortcut keys to make it easier to navigate and write (as long as you are right -handed). Put your left hand on the F1, F2 and F3 keys.

Pressing F1 is the same as clicking “Backward”

Pressing F2 is the same as clicking “Forward”

Pressing F3 toggles the tabs back and forth between the “Charts” and the “Options Chain”

Using these three shortcut keys, you can move forward through the data and check on options prices a bit easier. There are other reasons you may still need to use the mouse, but the shortcut keys are a big help.
